Lovely little gem, just on the left as you enter the park, through the main gates. Staff were so friendly and helpful. According to my friend the brownie was to die for. We took our own travel mugs and they were happy to refill them for us. They had loads of ice creams to chose from and do other light bites too.
Lovely and quaint tea room, staff very friendly and helpful.Lots of choice for children and they even have colouring books and crayons for little ones. Had the most amazing hot chocolate here, my husband had a mocha and said it was the best he had ever had! Will definitely be returning.

I removed my previous review as I reviewed on my expectations rather than the food on the menu. Have been with a friend this morning for an English breakfast and wasn’t disappointed. The food I had was delicious and plentiful. The young lady serving was as always very pleasant and our food was piping hot. Absolutely delicious and when I’m in Braintree this will be the place I go to. Thank you for another great experience.
saw this place a few times passing through the gardens but never went in. decided today was the day so i went in. service was lovely and the girls were quick and friendly. my hot chocolate and muffin were definitely worth the 5 star. i would give 6 if i could. if you’re in the area i highly recommend trying out this little cafe in a lovely part of braintree
This is my go to cafe. Family run and others. Set in the beautiful blocking public gardens. Picnic tables to sit outside on a non rainy day. Seating across two rooms inside. You must give it a try.
Great little spot hidden away from the centre of town. Perfect for parents with children as the park is next door. Lovely service too from the Saturday team There is one hour parking on the road out front or pay and display in town a short walk away.
Great coffee shop, set in beautiful gardens. Staff are friendly and helpful. Best coffee in town.
